Hello everyone, my name is Ronnie Greig- Manser. I am an apprentice carpenter and am really enjoying my time working for CHP. I am learning lots and really enjoying meeting the residents on a day to day basis. I live in Danbury which isn’t too far away and the commute to and from work is no hassle… dependent on traffic. I don’t really play football however I like watching West Ham play with my family as its been the family’s team for years. Due to work being very busy and being on my feet all day, in my spare time I love to just chill out, kick back and relax.

I am normally on the carpentry repairs team, but I have been moved over to the voids team for a couple of week. This gives me the opportunity to be able to try tasks on my own without being in somebody's house, which is a great way for me to learn. Before being moved over to voids, I was involved in lots of different jobs from fitting a new bannister for a resident or boxing in some bathroom pipes. On a normal day I can be doing anything from assisting with fitting fire doors, carrying out general repairs and fitting a new kitchen for someone. There are pictures on CHP’s social media of my handy work so why not have a look and check out my work for yourselves!

In my next blog I will explain what I have been up to with the voids team, but meanwhile keep an eye out on social media for pictures of my work. There will be regular posts so you can see what I’m up to.
