Festive preparations!

Christmas has probably been the last thing on people’s mind in November- but it’s all we’ve been thinking about in communications! People who know me will know how much I LOVE Christmas, so I haven’t been complaining! I have been helping prepare for the festive time, from preparing social media advent calendars to how best to recycle your Christmas tree.

Elf on the shelf is back this year, Eddie and Elsie have returned back from the North Pole with a few new faces. They will be getting up to all sorts in and around CHP, check out our social media pages to see them in action! I never realised the Eddie and Elsie would be so popular!

The demand for foodbanks is predicted to increase this year, which is why I helped organise a staff foodbank collection. Working with a range of colleagues we are successfully putting together a donation. It’s been great to work with a variety of people across the business to share ideas with. I created a poster about what the foodbank asked for to display around the office, which was right up my street!

Another big part of Christmas is an advent calendar, which is another thing I have been busy creating. You don’t realise how much work needs to go into an advent calendar until you do it. There is so much you need to consider like; what design you’re going to use; what colours you’re going to use; what needs to go into it. But after a bit of hard work I’m relieved to say it’s finished, and I really enjoyed creating it. It’s filled with tips and some ‘interesting’ jokes, after all Christmas wouldn’t be the same without a few bad jokes!
