Luke's time @CHP

It’s been a while since you’ve heard from me, lots of exciting things have happened and as we start the New Year its full steam ahead for CHP! In this week’s blog I will highlight some key milestones and bring you up-to-date with how I’m getting on.

As part of my apprenticeship I go to college on average one day every month. This is where I learn the theory for my Level 3 Digital Marketing Qualification. In fact, just last week I was at college learning the content for my Google Analytics Assessment. Although at first this was quite confusing, I soon got my head around the concept and completed the activities set by my tutor. As a result of this I achieved a certificate in Google Analytics for beginners and then went on to achieve the Advanced Certificate.

There have been some big changes in my team. We have recruited two new members of staff! Both have been in their jobs for a few weeks now and already I can notice the difference. This change is great for Annabelle and I because where possible, we can pick their brains and learn from them. I’m really looking forward to the next few months to see what we can accomplish as a bigger and stronger team.

An achievement of mine over the last few months has been the interest our #CHPapprentice blogs has generated on Social Media. They have received recognition from the Chartered Institute of Housing. They retweeted our social media post promoting the blog and as a result of this, the views increased significantly. They also retweeted one of our blogs which was great and again we got loads of views as a result of this. If you want to see the posts for yourself then head over to our Twitter page @CHPhomes to see them in full.

We also had a visit from a family of elves. We referred to them as our very own ‘Elf Family’ which consisted of Jade, Alison, Eddie, Elsie, Ant and Dec. I’m sure most of you will be aware of our elves and ‘elf on the shelf’, however for those who aren’t, they are magic naughty elves that get up to no good. This was great fun on the build up to Christmas and our elves went out with various people across the organisation. This required a significant amount of organising, however it was all worth it because the response we had on social media was quite significant. The elves have returned to hibernation for another year.

Next time in the CHPapprentice blog you will be hearing from Jordan, one of our Housing apprentices. He will be discussing his change from the Housing options team  and give you all an insight to his time so far.
