CHP named as a Top Landlord

Top 50 Landlords Logo We are delighted to have been named as one of the country’s Top 50 Landlords by respected housing industry magazine 24Housing.

Made up of housing providers from across the UK, we took the number 45 spot on the list which was announced last Friday (14 July 2017). The list is designed to celebrate the excellent work of the social housing sector’s very best landlords.

We were commended for its highly successful, large-scale reviews over the last eight years. This has included:

  • Reducing rent loss due to void properties by more than half since 2009;
  • Reducing rent arrears from 1.41% in 2013/14 to 0.76% in 2016/17;
  • Increasing the percentage of repairs conducted right first time to 92% in 2016/17.

Also highlighted was our commitment to planning for the future. Thanks to the success of previous reviews, we launched a far-reaching programme of work and are already making good progress against the ambitious targets. These include creating capacity for an increase in the provision of new homes and implementing new digital technologies to automate processes and improve customer experience.

Stuart Stackhouse, Chief Executive said: “We’re delighted to have been named as one the country’s top 50 social landlords for the first time this year. This is testament to the hard work and commitment of our Board, employees and involved residents who strive to provide a first rate service to our residents.

“Our ambitious programme of work will help us to meet our aim of providing more homes for people who are unable to rent or buy privately.”
