We have been recognised as one of the best housing associations to work for in the UK.
24housing magazine have published their annual list of top housing associations in the country, and we have secured 24th place in the list. Last week also saw us ranked in 66th position in the ‘The Sunday Times 100 Best Not-For-Profit Organisations to Work for 2018’.
The list, published by 24housing magazine is recognised nationally and is based on a survey of all employees. Nearly 90% of our workforce completed the survey last autumn which looked at areas such as leadership and management, personal wellbeing, commitment and engagement to the company as well as pay and benefits.
The results of the survey also saw us accredited as a one star employer by Best Companies, which represents ‘very good’ levels of workplace engagement.
The survey found 77% of staff agreed they were proud to work for us, and 71% were positive that their role was good for their personal growth. The company were also commended for their flexitime and job-sharing arrangements for staff.
Keith Andrew, our chairman of the Board of Trustees said: “This is the first time we’ve carried out the Best Companies survey so we’re proud to have been recognised as a top employer. We want to continue to recruit and retain talented people and have a large programme of support, development and benefits to help us achieve this.”
Stuart Stackhouse, Chief Executive said: “We are delighted our employees feel CHP is a great place to work, a sentiment I have always agreed with. Our employees are all hugely committed to providing excellent services for our residents and are our greatest asset as a company.”
The Best Companies one star accreditation and ranking in the ‘Top 25 Housing Associations’ list is another significant achievement for us. Over the past year the company has also been ranked in the top 50 for both social housing landlords and biggest builders by respected housing industry publications.
