Easter Trail, Great Notley
Pick up or download a free Easter trail sheet from Saturday 5 April until Monday 21 April and find the eggs that are hidden around Great Notley Country Park.
Play in the Park, Chelmsford
Play in the Park (PitP) is a series of free, two-hour sessions run for children aged between three and 11. During the Easter holidays, PitP runs at multiple community venues and includes activities like sports, games, and crafts.
The Chelmsford Takeover
On Saturday 12 April 2025, The Chelmsford Takeover is returning for its third year. Familiar heroes, characters, and show cars will descend on the city centre in this free family event.
Easter Bunny Trail, Brentwood, Shenfield, and Ingatestone
There will be ten Easter Bunnies on display in business windows across Brentwood, Shenfield, and Ingatestone high streets from 7 to 21 April 2025. Find all ten and note down their names to be in with the chance of winning prizes! Find more information here.
Pets’ Corner, Harlow
There’s a range of events taking place at Pets’ Corner in Harlow over the Easter period. Admission is free, and you can meet the Easter Bunny for a photo and chocolate treat (free), attend a craft session (£2), take part in an egg hunt (£1.50), meet the lambs (£3.50), or listen to an animal keeper talk (free). Spring Craft Market and Easter Trail, Danbury
On 5 April 2025 from 12-4pm, Danbury Leisure Centre will be putting on a spring fair, which is free to enter. Follow the Easter Trail around the grounds, check out the artisan craft stalls, and head to the arts and crafts centre where children can make their own Easter decorations to take home.
Kids go free at Nuclear High Ropes, Brentwood
Between 4 and 21 April 2025, you can get one free child place per paying adult at Nuclear High Ropes and experience climbing, zip-trekking, and high ropes.
