We can provide advice on filling out application forms and tips to help you prepare for an interview.
Training
We work closely with partner organisations such as Adult Community Learning (ACL), Steadfast Training and WEA to offer online training and courses. These are available to customers over the age of 19.
For courses including Maths, English and English for Speakers of Other Languages, please visit the ACL website to arrange an assessment.
For vocational training including apprenticeships and diplomas please visit Steadfast Training.
WEA offers a variety courses that are run over seven or eight weeks, including:
- introduction to child psychology;
- child psychology;
- introduction to facilitating adult learning;
- introduction to helping in schools;
- maths KS3;
- introduction to meditation;
- using and developing everyday maths skills.

Apprenticeships
If you want to develop your skills whilst getting paid, we can help direct you to useful websites with opportunities such as Apprenticeships. We can also help you with your application.
Check out our What's on page for ad hoc courses that we organise. These include training for the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) in partnership with Clarion Housing which enables you to work on a construction site. Plus, food safety and hygiene training if you’re looking to get into catering or if you need the certificate to volunteer in a café or community centre.
