Managing homes for others

We’re focused on meeting local housing need by collaborating with partners to deliver affordable new homes.

We make sure our partners, which include for-profit providers and local authorities, have similar values and share our vision to improve customers’ lives by providing good quality, affordable homes.

Importantly for us, all our partners are registered with the Regulator of Social Housing, which means they are accountable and operate within the same guidelines as we do, protecting customers' long-term interests.

Who we work with

Legal & General Affordable Homes (LGAH)

We’re one of the organisations chosen nationwide to manage properties built by financial services provider Legal & General under their affordable homes initiative.

We’ve been working with LGAH since 2020 and manage around 500 homes on their behalf across areas including Chelmsford, Thurrock, Southminster, Harlow, Brentwood, and Maldon. These homes are a combination of shared ownership, affordable rent, and social rent properties.

M&G Real Estate

We started working with M&G Real Estate, part of the FTSE 100 financial services company M&G plc, in 2023.

We initially sold 167 shared ownership homes and one leasehold home to M&G, which provided us with additional funds to help build more great new homes. We continue to manage these homes on their behalf.

Local authorities

We also manage temporary accommodation for Chelmsford City Council and Maldon District Council. These homes are for individuals and families who have experienced difficult circumstances and are looking to move into a more permanent home.
