We celebrate International Women's Day
We’re proud to be celebrating International Women’s Day at CHP. As an organisation our gender balance is in line with the UK population, with 51 per cent of our employees being female. More than half of our team leader and supervisor roles are held by women. 46 per cent of our managers and heads of service are women – that’s nearly nine per cent higher than the national average. Our Chief Executive and Chair of our Board are also female. We recognise that we still have some work to do, but we are fully committed to making CHP a fully inclusive place to work.
Paul Edwards, our Deputy Chief Executive said: “I’m concerned by some recent studies that reveal the negative impact the coronavirus pandemic is having on gender equality. These studies have shown that COVID-19 has affected women with young children more than men with the same household situation. We want to do all we can to address this at CHP and to ensure we keep moving in the right direction. This includes offering full support to all of our people so they’re still able to perform to their full potential, as well as helping customers who are struggling financially due to the pandemic. We can never be complacent.”
