We receive 'A-' credit rating
CHP and its subsidiary Myriad Capital have once again been awarded an ‘A-’ credit rating in our annual review by S&P Global.
This rating is based on a number of factors and in particular our ambitious development programme. The S&P report recognises this and our strong liquidity position.
Our outlook this year remains ‘negative’. This reflects our commitment to building more affordable homes and investment in our existing housing stock. The outlook also takes into our account the volatile economic environment that we’re currently operating in.
Mary Gibbons, Chief Executive said: “Our credit rating confirms we remain well placed to continue providing more great homes that people can afford. We’re pleased that the review recognises our plans to invest in our existing homes, as well as the scale of our ambition to build more homes. We believe it’s right to have bold plans for the future. With the shortage of affordable high-quality homes and the need to tackles homelessness, our mission to help meet housing need has never felt more urgent.”
This year we were awarded a G1 for governance and a V2 for financial viability following an in-depth assessment (IDA) from the Regulator for Social Housing (RSH). The gradings recognised that we are well governed with sound financial plans in place to deliver our business plan.
Earlier this month it was announced that we are one of two delivery partners under Curo & Swan’s strategic partnership with Homes England to build more affordable homes in the South East. This will deliver a total of 2,425 new homes as part of the Government’s Affordable Homes Programme.
